Many fans of Jersey Shore are wondering how Snooki slimmed down.

Those who watch the MTV show Jersey Shore have surely noticed the weight that star Snooki has lost. This has left many fans wondering how the Snooki weight loss was achieved.

Snooki’s weight loss has been so dramatic that various terms with the words Snooki and slim down have been trending on the Internet for months. “Snooki thin”, “98 pound Snooki” and “Snookis weight loss” have all been trending. Snooki is a hot topic since her weight loss.

As anyone who has seen Snooki on her show or on interviews knows, Snooki is not secretive. She is one to tell it like it is and not hide anything. This includes the information on how she reached her 98 pound goal weight. Snooki credits Zantrex-3, which is a diet pill, with helping her reach her goal and while that might be bias due to her being sponsored by them we know that all throughout the last season of Jersey Shore she was working out almost every episode. So I’d say that while the supplement must have helped, so did her diet, and it’s the workouts doing the heavy lifting. And of course what better workouts to do than kettlebell workouts for fat loss.

The star began talking about this in the fall of 2011. This was when she and the cast were filming in Italy. At the time she had lost close to 20 pounds. Snooki who is under 5 feet tall knows that she has to watch her weight as even a couple of extra pounds looks like much more on someone so short.

Snooki herself spoke to the Star about her decision to take the diet pills. She stated the need for something that would help give her the energy she needed to work out more. Keyword workout. Sources say that Snooki was tired of reading about her weight in blogs. However, she is quick to say that others opinions of her are not what led her to lose the weight. She did it for herself, not to please anyone else.

Now my personal opinion is that anyone can achieve similar if not better results with a simple kettlebell workout. So I’m going to show you guys a stupidly simple workout that can be done with only 1 kettlebell that’s guaranteed to melt fat off anyone who does it at least 3 times a week (in combination with a healthy diet of course).

Here we go:

30 swings (2 armed)

30 (one arm switching every 15)

Run 1 lap (400 meters)

1 minute active rest (Ex: Jumping jacks, walking)

And that’s it. Literally that’s it. Just keep increasing the weight of the kettlebell as this gets easier and keep increasing the speed at which you Run that 400 meters. I’d start this off with 3 times a week and progress from there. You can also add more total rounds as you get in better shape. That, combined with a good diet, and perhaps even the help of Zantrex will melt the fat off of any one with a pulse so long as it’s done consistently and religiously.

It is probably the starting point for those that have decided that they must lose weight to be asking the question, “how many calories should I eat a day to lose weight”?

This is a logical question to be asked and there is certainly an answer and some guidelines to go by.

For starters, most people setting off on a mission to shed those pounds they are looking to do believe their total food consumption must be drastically reduced, and the calorie intake dramatically reduced. Unfortunately, many of these people are under the assumption that they can in fact fill themselves with various junk foods daily as long as they maintain a lower overall calorie intake. And that’s totally wrong!

The basic idea seems to make sense. If one lowers their calorie intake, it really does not matter what specific foods they choose to consume. The thing that they must become aware of is that this is truly not the case. Of course for many, cutting the number of calories can be of great benefit, particularly for those on a heavy junk food diet. But for so many others, moving on to carb restriction, consuming high fiber content and simply eating foods that are so much healthier is the way to proceed. These going in this direction may discover that although the calorie count intake is virtually the same, they are in fact shedding weight.

The fact of the matter as many soon discover is that calorie counting is truly not the number one priority to be concerned with. So the question “How many calories should I eat a day?” becomes a moot point.

One of the primary considerations that people should be aware of is that for many seeking to lose weight, drastically cutting their intake of calories can also lead to a dramatic slowdown of their metabolism as well. This will simply make it much more difficult to actually lose that weight they are seeking to do. At the start, because no one is certain how they are going to specifically react, it makes the most sense to begin by boosting their fiber content and making an effort to reduce the intake of carbs. If these initiatives do not offer any positive results, one can begin to reduce the intake of calories but is cautioned to do so on a gradual level. Many who are anxious to get started and forge ahead do not really want to hear this, but it is in fact the right path to be following to obtain the results one is seeking. The truth is that slashing calories is not the end-all, and particularly those with slow metabolisms, there are going to be some issues to be dealt with.

The Question Then Becomes, How Many Calories Should I Eat A Day For Weight To Be Lost?

The truth is that the answer to this question is truly an individual and personal one. Two of the determining factors are, how much weight is the person involved looking to shed, and what is their normal level of activity on a daily basis? There are also several other factors to be considered such as the calorie deficit one is seeking to achieve, the Basal Metabolic Rate(BMR), the Body Mass Index(BMI) and also the individual involved gender. The BMR is particularly important because it registers the minimum number of calories one must have for the body to perform the most normal of functions such as proper digestion, and even proper breathing.

The truth is that studies show that if a person consumes just the calories they need according to their BMR daily, they will not gain or lose one pound. If in fact they do consume less calories, they will lose weight. On the other side, if they consume additional calories, they will gain weight. What this means is that the concerned individual involved must first make every effort to accurately figure out their BMR. The next consideration should be an honest assessment of what their daily physical activities truly are. These things being properly done, one can then make the commitment to reduce their caloric intake by several hundred calories. They will truly be so pleased in a short period of time watching the pounds dropping off.

Some Suggestions

Take the time to make an honest assessment of where it is one is actually starting from. Next, make a realistic and doable target of where they want to go.The bottom line is that losing weight is certainly doable, but it does take an honest evaluation and a sincere commitment to making it happen. But at the end of the say instead of asking “how many calories should I eat a day?” you should focus more on cutting carbs at night, cutting out junk, and of course… doing some some kickass kettlebell workouts.

There is little doubt that everyday people see different workout routines being offered them as well as fad diets in various magazine offerings. So much is offered that it is sometimes difficult to truly determine what in fact truly has any substance to it. It seems as if the health and fitness community is complete with a whole bunch of different opinions and at times what one industry leader says is completely counter to what another industry leader says so a lot of times you’ve got people that are never certain which one is the right one to follow. There are however some routines that have in fact been tested and found to be ones that are in fact good to follow (especially with the use of functional workout equipment like kettlebells). Let’s take a few moments to look at some of these now which may be of some interest and help.

And Here I Present to you, the ABSOLUTE BEST FULL BODY WORKOUT ROUTINE EVeR!!

I kid. The truth is that the following can’t really be declared the most effective workout routine on the planet. I’m not sure anyone can make a claim like that. It is however by all rights an effective one for sure. The other great advantage is that it truly is a very simple one and one that just about anybody can get started with from a novice all the way to people that have been working out for years. So let’s go ahead and start with…

Strength Training:

*The buildup of muscle is going to make your body burn even more calories while at rest and in the long term help you you lose fast and more importantly keep it off.
*Sticking to multi-joint exercises which will burn up more calories while performing them. They are also great for building muscle.
*One should be looking to head to the gym three times a week, and I strongly suggest that you take a day off between each workout. On your workout days you should be alternating between two separate full body workouts. And keep in mind that this entire workout can definitely be done with kettlebells as well.

Workout 1:
2 Sets of 8-12 reps Medium-Incline Barbell Bench Press
2 Sets 8-12 reps strict form Barbell Rows
1 Set 8-12 reps Deadlifts
2 sets 8-12 reps Barbell curls
1 set 10-15 reps Lying Leg Raises

Workout 2:
2 sets 8-12 repetitions Sitting Dumbbell Overhead Press
2 Sets 8-12 reps Pull Ups
2 sets 8-12 reps Squats
1 Set 10-15 reps Weighted Sit Ups

A note on warming up: Your warm up will depend on how heavy you’re lifting. Usually the more heavy you lift the more warming up you’ll do, therefore you’ll probably end up doing a longer warm up for exercises such as the squat and deadlift seeing that those involve the biggest muscles and thus people to lift the most weight when performing those exercises.
The thing I should mention is that while the program is quite abbreviated it works quite well ESPECIALLY if you take each exercise about a rep away from muscular failure. So while the workout is quick and effective it’s still hard work. If there is going to be an exception to this rule it will be with abs where you should actually take the exercise to full muscular failure. You should also be looking to take approximately 1 minute of full rest in between warm up sets and two minutes or so between work sets. Dead lifts and Squats are going to usually require several more warm up sets than with other exercises.

Cardio:

*We’re going to do Intense Interval cardio for at the most 20 minutes.
*Your metabolism is ramped up for longer, post-workout when you do short intense sprints .
*Studies show that interval cardio is shown to be the best way to do cardio for both fat loss and improving athletic performance.
*Also with interval cardio cortisol levels will not be spiked up like it would be when doing cardio sessions which are longer in nature.

Pick your activity of choice or any cardio machine and after a 5 minute warm up perform a sprint that will lead to being winded after two minutes or so. When this occurs you should slow down for a couple of minutes to lower your heart rate (as you get in better shape you can shorten this rest period) then pick up the pace and perform several more sprints before concluding the workout. When one has done this they should find themselves totally wiped out.

A note on the topic of cardio is that you can easily use your kettlebell workouts as a form of cardio as well. Especially if you’re doing circuits, and you’re sticking with the mid rep ranges (10-15)

The truth of the matter is that a lot of people spend too much time analyzing what it is they are doing and not spending enough time actually doing it. I know I know that there’s a lot of fitness resources on the net.

But enough is enough already! So here you have it. A deceivingly simple yet effective full body workout routine. Now all you have to do is get off your butt and do it!
